 Ensure the overall implementation of the projects within the fields of implementation, coordinating the activities and building the capacity of Program Managers (PMs) to identify and implement high quality program activities in an accountable manner, and in conformity with ACF/donor requirements and base/area/mission strategy. 


Key activities in your role will include
  • Objective 1: Contribute to identify sectoral needs, to design program strategy and operational development
  • Objective 2: Support and coordinate PMs to ensure the implementation, monitoring and reporting of projects.
  • Objective 3: Support PM to contribute to program quality and accountability processes and measure program impact

Do you meet the profile required criteria?
  • Degree and/or Master Degree in Civil, Environmental or Water, Mechanical Engineering, Public Health or related field.
  • Excellent knowledge of WASH interventions including water supply systems, sanitation and hygiene practices. 
  • Experience and/or knowledge of water and sanitation infrastructures will be valued.  
  • Strong technical knowledge in WASH principles, practices and standards.
  • Demonstrated technical experience in implementing WASH interventions.
  • Must have demonstrated skills/knowledge in participatory approaches, analytical and gender – fair thinking 
  • Significant experience in working in collaboration with local partners and government bodies. 
  • Excellent knowledge of project cycle management. 
  • Ability to identify possible new activities and elaborate proposals for new projects, considering an integrated approach with other sectors such health, nutrition or livelihood.
  • Strong communication and report writing skills. 
  • Strong staff management and leadership skills, and demonstrated experience in coordination.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in designing and implementing Water Sanitation & Hygiene System in development and/or humanitarian projects in the NGO/INGO sector.
  • Good knowledge of INGOs and donor agencies procedure, guidelines and intervention in the country.
  • Previous knowledge of Action Against Hunger policies, strategy and previous interventions in the country or region is an asset.
  • English and Arabic (compulsory working language, fluent spoken, read and written)
  • DPM will be based in Gaza with travel to different ACF bases in Gaza Strip. 
  • Valuable prior experience in issues related to the promotion of gender equality or personal commitment to gender equality

Our remuneration package:
  • Based in: Gaza Strip – (Middle Area or South).
  • Salary: according to Action Against Hunger salary scale.
  • We provide workman compensation and health insurance.
  • In addition, Action Against Hunger covers food and transportation allowances for a fully worked month.

  • 21 days holidays for year.
