Under the direct supervision of the Security Officer, with the ad-hoc support of the Security Manager, the security assistant will be responsible for:  

  • Support the day-to-day security of ACF movements operations in Gaza Strip.
  • Enable safe delivery of vital services to communities, through deconfliction of movements.  
  • Contribute to safety of movements by interacting with drivers to ensure the route drawn on the HNS platform reflect the reality on the ground. Answer drivers’ questions related to the routes.

  • Objective 1: Movement
  • Objective 2: Mapping & trackers
  • Objective 3: Trainings and Inductions
  • Objective 4: Documentation and reporting
  • Objective 5: Support in the implementation of the Security Plan

Do you meet the profile required criteria?
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as security studies or mapping and graphics studies. 

  • Good command of the ECP platform used for the notification of humanitarian movements. 

  • Proficiency in Excel software 

  • Proficiency in the use of mapping tools (good command of QGIS is an asset), with the ability to extract KML files of elements of interest. 

  • Experience in working with the ECP platform is required (2 months) 

  • Experience in working in the fleet department of a company or NGO (6 months) 

  • Previous experience with Action Against Hunger is an added value. 

  • Ability to communicate in written and spoken English  

  • MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and email/internet software. 

  • Ability to work and live in Gaza in hardship conditions and flexibility to move between governorates if required 


Our remuneration package:
  • Contract Length: 3 months. 

  • Based in: Gaza Strip.  

  • Salary: Based on Action Against Hunger salary scale. 

  • Action Against Hunger covers food and transportation allowances for a fully worked month.   

  • We provide workmen compensation and health insurance. 

  • Emotional care service at the service of the employee and family. 

  • 21 days holidays for year
