The GIS Assistant will support MEAL and Programs by leading the collection, management, and analysis of geospatial data to ensure effective tracking of the Projects. It will enhance evidence-based decision-making by producing maps, spatial analyses, and dashboards that communicate trends and program impact.  

Additionally, the Assistant will strengthen accountability to affected populations by integrating GIS with Program & MEAL systems, enabling more accurate targeting and response. 

Finally, they will contribute to program learning and improvement by identifying spatial patterns, providing insights for operational planning, and supporting the continuous enhancement of project quality and effectiveness. 


Key activities in your role will include
  • Geospatial Data Management to ensure accurate, reliable, and well-organized spatial data for all ACF projects, the GIS Assistant will manage the collection, organization, and maintenance of geospatial datasets as follows
  • GIS Analysis and Visualization to support evidence-based decision-making and reporting, and perform spatial analysis and develop visualizations, maps, and dashboards. As follows
  • Support MEAL and Accountability Activities to enhance program implementation and monitoring, integrate geospatial tools with MEAL systems to visualize project results and track indicators

Do you meet the profile required criteria?
  • Professional certification in GIS or Geospatial Data Analysis is desirable.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Geography, Geoinformatics, Computer Science, or related fields.
  •  Minimum 6 months’ experience in GIS is desirable.
  •  Demonstrated experience in creating maps, Power BI dashboards, and spatial analysis reports to support project monitoring and decision-making.
  • Minimum 6 months’ experience in humanitarian sector is desirable
