The FSL Program Assistant will support the implementation of food security, livelihoods, disaster risk reduction, and natural resource management activities in targeted areas. The role focuses on strengthening household resilience, promoting sustainable land use, and enhancing local capacity to manage risks. It involves direct field support, community engagement, and coordination under the technical guidance of ACF’s sector specialists.
Objective 1: Implementation of FSL activities including emergencies:
Assist with the rollout of FSL and DRR activities such as:
Distribution of agricultural inputs, small livestock, and IGA kits
Community-based DRR planning and hazard mapping
Land and natural resource rehabilitation activities (e.g., soil bunds, tree planting)
Follow up with community groups (farmers, women-led enterprises, DRR committees) to monitor progress and identify support needs.
Ensure the integration of gender, protection, and climate adaptation considerations in all field activities.
Objective 2: Community Mobilization and Engagement:
Facilitate community entry, awareness raising, and mobilization for FSL/DRR/NRM initiatives.
Support the establishment or reactivation of local structures (e.g., DRR committees, natural resource user groups).
Promote conflict-sensitive and inclusive approaches that engage youth, women, and persons with disabilities.
Objective 3: Logistical and administration support:
Facilitate procurement requests, stock movements, and field distributions in collaboration with logistics and supply chain teams
Ensure proper documentation of all field activities (e.g., attendance sheets, distribution lists, GPS coordinates, photo evidence).
Support the planning and execution of trainings and awareness sessions at the community level.
Objective 4: Participate in need assessments and surveys when necessary:
