Objective 1: Strengthen Project Cycle Management (PCM) Across Projects of Responsibility.
- Line Management of Project Managers: Provide direct supervision and performance management of Project Managers within the Area of Responsibility. Ensure clear Systematic Use of PCM Standards
Guarantee consistent application of ACF Project Cycle Management (PCM) tools and processes, including project kick-offs, reviews, close-outs, work plans, BFUs, ITTs, and PPPs. Ensure these tools are not only used but effectively inform decision-making and project adjustments. - Coaching and Technical Support: Actively mentor Project Managers on planning and sequencing activities, aligning financial and procurement plans with implementation timelines. Provide guidance on risk management, resource allocation, and adaptive strategies to maintain program quality under changing conditions.
- Field Monitoring and Quality Control: Conduct regular field visits to assess implementation quality, verify compliance with donor and ACF standards, and identify operational bottlenecks. Translate findings into actionable recommendations and support teams in implementing corrective measures.
- Risk Management and Continuous Improvement: Ensure systematic follow-up on corrective actions, risk mitigation measures, and recommendations across all projects. Establish feedback loops to capture lessons learned and integrate them into improved practices and strengthened processes.
Objective 2: Improve Implementation Quality Through Structured Learning & Feedback Loops
- Collect lessons learned and operational insights from Project Managers and field teams through structured reviews, debriefs, and monitoring visits. Ensure that feedback captures both successes and challenges for continuous improvement.
- Feed insights into technical teams, DCD–Programme, MEAL, and operations leadership to inform adjustments in guidance, tools, and methodologies. Act as a bridge between field realities and strategic decision-making to enhance relevance and effectiveness.
- Facilitate coherent collaboration between Operations, Technical, and MEAL teams by organizing joint planning sessions, harmonizing work plans, and promoting integrated approaches that strengthen field-level implementation.
- Support the development and improvement of SOPs, processes, and harmonized implementation tools based on field feedback. Ensure these tools are practical, user-friendly, and consistently applied across all bases to standardize quality delivery.
Objective 3: Support Consistency, Standards & Cross-Department Alignment
- Ensure technical guidance is realistically implementable by translating recommendations into actionable steps within operational plans, considering timelines, resources, and field constraints.
- Align technical specifications with operational realities and field-level capacities, facilitating adjustments where necessary to maintain feasibility without compromising quality.

- Monitor integration of Feedback and Complaint Response Mechanism (FCRM) information into project implementation, ensuring that relevant feedback informs adjustments and improvements (light monitoring only).
Objective 4: Build Capacity & Strengthen Operational Coordination
- Strengthen Project Managers’ ability to use project management tools (including project ADS) and follow ACF processes by providing structured guidance and ensuring consistent application across all projects.
- Deliver coaching, mentoring, and targeted training on key operational areas such as work plan development, ITT preparation, BFU analysis, and risk monitoring. Tailor support to address gaps and enhance managerial confidence.
- Facilitate regular joint reviews between technical teams, MEAL, and Project Managers to promote integrated planning, harmonized implementation, and shared accountability for results.
- Promote a culture of accountability, efficiency, and learning within operational teams by encouraging transparent communication, timely problem-solving, and continuous improvement practices
Additional Responsibilities
- Support emergency response within existing programme areas when requested.
- Contribute to operational components of strategy development and process improvement.
- Any other tasks assigned by the DCD–Operations.
We offer immediate incorporation to a dynamic international network with the following remuneration package:
- Formal work contract: 24 months .
- Base: (Sudan)
- Salary: according to Action Against Hunger salary scale and to candidate’s previous experience.
This packaged includes:
