You'll contribute to ending world hunger by ...
  • Ensure an adequate delivery of programme operations at scale and scope (multi-sectoral programming with increasing volumes).
  • Strengthen Quality Programs providing strategic guidance to program teams and program coordinators, facilitating internal process of program development. 
  • Ensure a fluent internal coordination amongst Technical Coordinators and the bases, as well as build further bridges between program teams and the Support departments to unblock bottlenecks and resolve operational matters.
  • Close coordination between DCD Support and DCD Programs to ensure smooth, timely and of quality program implementation  

Key activities in your role will include
  • Oversee the integration of cross cutting themes into ACF Lebanon’s programmatic portfolio with an emphasis on gender, protection and conflict sensitivity
  • Programme Delivery and Performance Management
  • Ensure adequate institutional relationships with external stakeholders (national/international), donors and different actors in country, as well as identifying potential fundraising opportunities
  • Management of the MEAL Department
  • Security, Gender, Safeguarding and partnership

Do you meet the profile required criteria?
  • Kowledge in Humanitarian Action or any related field (communications, political science, law, etc.). Good experience in program development, donor rules and regulations, validation procedures, coordination of processes and donor liaison. Experience in Project Cycle Management and Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Lessons Learned tools.. Training and capacity building experience. Team mamagement
  • Previous experience in a similar position and/or in the humanitarian field of at least 7 years. Management experience of large and dynamic teams a plus. Experience of security management a bonus
  • English: Compulsory working language. Excellent writing skills are required for this position. Arabic: Useful: Spanish: An asset; French: An asset.
  • Communication skills, and a diplomatic, but firm approach to obtain buy in and contributions from a range of staff involved in program devepment and implementation;Good knowledge of the humanitarian and/or development fields and of relevant stakeholders (UN, Cluster System, NGOs, etc);
  • Proven ability to work independently under minimal guidance, pressure and tight deadlines; Experience in Capacity building

Our remuneration package:

  • Contract length: 12 months.
  • Base: Beirut
  • Family duty station: NO   
  • Compensation Package consisting of:   
    • Salary: according to Action Against Hunger salary scale and according to candidate’s previous experience. 
      • Action Against Hunger - Spain remuneration system allows a salary progression based on the annual development appraisal. 
      • This packaged includes:
        • Expatriate insurance (health, live, repatriation, travel, etc.)
        • Yearly holiday return flight ticket
        • Accommodation and housing expenses (in a shared guest house)
        • Travel costs to and from the mission.
        • 26 working days of paid leave per year
        • Break on 8 weeks cycle: additional rest period of 5 working days, including a lump sum for travel cost to a reference area and economic contribution.
