The WaSH Community Mobilizer will support the implementation of emergency WaSH activities, including hygiene promotion, monitoring of water and sanitation services, identification of needs, community engagement, referrals, data collection, and reporting. The WaSH Community Mobilizer will ensure that activities and approaches are consistent and relevant to achieving program objectives and are implemented in line with Action Against Hunger standards and principles.
Conduct regular visits to collective shelters and targeted communities to monitor WaSH conditions, identify needs and service gaps, and report findings to the WaSH Field Officer.
Support the implementation of hygiene promotion and awareness sessions for beneficiaries and community members on key hygiene practices, including personal hygiene, safe water handling and storage, sanitation, environmental hygiene, and the proper use of WaSH facilities and distributed items.
Support the monitoring of water and sanitation services, including water supply, water trucking, desludging, and other WaSH-related services, and report any technical, operational, protection, or community-related concerns that may affect the quality or continuity of WaSH services.
Support the distribution of WaSH-related items and materials, including hygiene items, bottled water, menstrual hygiene items, and other emergency WaSH supplies.
Ensure that community members are informed about available services, feedback and complaints mechanisms, and relevant referral pathways.
Participate in lessons learned and debriefing sessions to highlight challenges, good practices, community feedback, and recommendations for improving WaSH activities.
Support the collection, organization, and verification of data related to WaSH activities.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of activities conducted, and information collected in the field, in coordination with the WaSH Field Officer and relevant team members.
Provide regular verbal and written reports to the line manager on all WaSH activities.
Ensure proper and timely archiving of all means of verification and relevant project documentation, including attendance sheets, assessment forms, distribution records, monitoring forms, reports, and other technical documents, in both soft and hard copies as required.
Support the emergency interventions of the organization as per the employee’s abilities.
Support any activity that helps reaching our humanitarian goals, as per the employee’s abilities.

Support other emergency WaSH interventions and activities implemented by Action Against Hunger, as required and within the Community Mobilizer's capacities and responsibilities, and carry out any other relevant duties assigned by the line manager in support of the programmed objectives.
Respect the security rules specified in the mission and base security plan, see to it that the team under his/her responsibility complies with the security plan and perform the security management tasks that can be assigned in its protocols.
Communicate to the security managers of the working location any security related information or noncompliance with the security plan.
Promote safe and equitable environments, through knowledge and application of the protocol against harassment and gender policy.
Knowledge and compliance with safeguarding policy.
Promote gender equality within the humanitarian and/or development work.
