The Department of Programs Engineering of Action Against Hunger, from its multisectoral orientation, develops programs, methodologies and technical approaches aimed at combating the effects and causes of hunger in line with the strategic objectives of the organization and the expectations of our stakeholders.


Direct the organization’s Food Security and Livelihoods strategy to increase its social impact in our different intervention countries, generating more value in people living in hunger and in partner stakeholders.

Key activities in your role will include
  • Leads strategic planning for the Department of Food Security and Livelihoods
  • Directs the implementation of the strategic objectives of the Department of Food Security and Livelihoods
  • Leads the Global Positioning Strategy for Food Security and Livelihoods
  • Oversees quality strategy, monitoring and accountability in Food Security and Livelihoods
  • Coordinates the management of technical knowledge of Food Security and Livelihoods globally
  • Leading the innovation and research strategy of the Department of Food Security and Livelihoods
  • Lead the definition of Food Security and Livelihoods strategic programs based on the expectations of our stakeholders
  • Leads teams under the Department of Food Security and Livelihoods
  • Directs and monitors Food Security and Livelihoods technical strategies in missions
  • Represents the organization in technical coordination spaces linked to the Food Security and Livelihoods sector, media, etc.

Do you meet the profile required criteria?
  • Training in agronomy and/or economics. Specialized training in a field relevant to food security and livelihoods.
  • Knowledge of other issues related to food security (agriculture, employability, early warning, social protection, value chains, monetary transfers, gender, rural development...).
  • Analytical competence to collect, distill and analyze different types of data, from different sources and with different formats to facilitate decision making.
  • Good understanding of the humanitarian ecosystem.
  • 3 years in team coordination positions.
  • 5 years in the context of cooperation and/or humanitarian action in the area of food security and livelihoods.
  • Institutional relations at the international level.
  • Knowledge of the essential humanitarian sector.
  • Commitment to humanitarian values and principles.
  • Knowledge of the preferred organization.
  • Essential English, French and Spanish.
  • Office Package.
  • Availability of international and European travel.
  • Personal commitment to gender equality.
