Sudan is a young, fast-growing mission in a rapidly and unpredictably evolving context.
The need for a new organisational chart has been established, which incorporates the figure of DCD to improve the implementation of projects, both in terms of execution and quality, as well as impact assessment.
It will be crucial for this role to lead the decentralization of processes to the bases, reinforcing competencies and supporting CD so that strategic reflections take shape in the bases.
Objective 1: Improve the quality of the project cycle throughout the mission enhancing all project implementation processes and establish a good alignment with the processes related to positioning and control and expertise,
Tasks
- Supervision of Programmes/ Project Implementation: Implementation and monitoring of projects, reporting and evaluation. Focus on establishing an effective follow-up of the implementation and monitoring of projects to ensure quality in alignment with priorities and compliance with signed contracts and agreements. Focus on the decentralization of joint processes capital-bases for implementation and monitoring of projects. Project and overall mission projects planning including activities, budget and all necessary resources for project implementation working with(Log, HR, Fin.
- Program development Identification, formulation in coordination with CD and in collaboration with Technical Coordinators and / or Leads. Promotes inter departmental participation (across the mission) in the design and formulation, with specific emphasis on the technical capacity in the core sectors of the organization. Lead participatory workshops in the design of programming quality, project cycle, problem tree, solution tree, logical framework, activity, and budget forecast.
Objective 2: Mission strategy: participates in strategy development and revision; support SMT in elaboration of design of multisectoral programmatic axes that respond coherently and effectively to the needs of the four states regions in which we work.
Tasks
- Lead the operationalization of the crosscutting axes and impact measurement from a programmatic point of view..
- Design in collaboration with our counterparts, facilitate their strengthening and training plan
Objective 3: MANAGEMENT: Improve the management, coordination and communication of the teams under his/her responsibility in Action Against Hunger Sudan mission and with other staff.
Objective 4: REPRESENTATION: Represent Action Against Hunger to Donors, Governmental bodies, and any other external stakeholders, during absence of Country Director in Sudan and in collaboration with Country Director as required.
We offer immediate incorporation to a dynamic international network with the following remuneration package:
- Formal work contract: 12 months renewable.
- Base: Port Sudan (Sudan)
- Salary: according to Action Against Hunger salary scale and to candidate’s previous experience.
