The Reporting and Communication Officer is fully responsible to ensure that all information and data from the field is captured, documented, analyzed and reported in a results-based and timely manner for donors and internal purposes for ACF Sudan. This includes, but is not limited to, heavy support finalizing grants, communication and information management, as well as assisting programs team in other tasks.


Key activities in your role will include

Objective 1: Reporting Tasks:

  •  With input from the program team, technical team and MEAL team, help produce high quality program progress - -reports as per donors and ACF requirements; in the preparation, quality assurance and compliance , and submission of donor reports;.
  •  Provide high quality editing and formatting Key responsibility for all program related documents; Provide through progress reporting continuous analysis of the achievements, facilitate project review, evaluation and audits (if relevant); .
  • Support program staff in organizing and managing seminars, workshops, press conferences and field visits as required; Provide relevant expert services to the project management unit, program components and implementing partners on reporting and communications;
  •  Improve information management across emergency and humanitarian programming portfolio, including through communication with communities and 2-way feedback mechanisms. 
  • Develop and maintain the program documentation system in collaboration with other departments, including MEAL.
  • Objective 2: Communication Tasks:
  • Ensure effective communications, visibility and knowledge management within ACF Sudan and to external audience. Develop, implement and monitor a communication and visibility plan to facilitate better understanding among partners and government about ACF as an organization and program progress.
  •  Support advocacy and communication processes across all humanitarian programming when requested; Undertake field visits to gather the information and results related to the program, and prepare relevant field visits reports and communication materials.
  •  Support ACF external representation to donors, UN, and other stakeholders;
    Objective 3: Miscellaneous Tasks: 
  • RRHH Other duties as needed

Do you meet the profile required criteria?
  • Formation: Bachelors (Masters preferred) in International Development, Humanitarian Studies, communications, journalism, social sciences, or related field in alignment with the relief and development sectors;
  • Specific technical knowledge: Technical knowledge of institutional donors, partners, consortiums and Technical knowledge in micro-grants and large contracts compliance aspects; strategic and operational planning, Project Cycle Management; Risk mapping and analysis; data analysis and reporting Representation skills,
  • Previous experience : Minimum of 3 years of experience in NGO, including at least 2 years of partnership experience in the field, and experience with international public donors.
  • Cooking of the humanitarian sector: Familiarity with but not only USAID, FCDO, GAC, AFD, ECHO, AICS, UN regulations (especially Pool Fund, WFP and UNICEF rules and guidelines) .
  • Action Against Hunger Knowledge : Knowledge of Action Against Hunger and its operation department areas of work Languages: English and Arabic .
  • Office automation and specific systems: Windows domain (Excel, Power Point, Word) .
  • Mobility: (national/international) Availability to travel .
  • Commitment to Gender Equality :Valuable previous experience on issues related to the promotion of gender equality or personal commitment to gender equality.

Our remuneration package:
  • Based in: Sudan – Port Sudan - Capital office 
  • Position length: 1 year (renewable based on Evalution) 
  • Line manager: Grant and Reporting Coordinator. 
  • Salary: 1100-1260 USD (Gross) 
  • Annual Leave: 20 days/ year 
  • Emotional care service at the service of the employee and family
