The Operations Assistant is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Food Security and Livelihoods (FSL) Hub, which includes a master kitchen, rooftop garden, potential distribution point, and livestock care (e.g., chickens). The role encompasses cleaning, maintenance, gardening, animal care, security, and support to distribution activities. The Operations Assistant ensures the smooth functioning of the FSL Hub, maintaining a safe, clean, and productive environment for staff and beneficiaries.

High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in maintenance, agriculture, or a related field is preferred.
Proficiency in basic maintenance tasks, including electrical repairs, plumbing, carpentry, and painting.
Knowledge of gardening techniques and plant care.
Ability to operate and maintain cleaning equipment and gardening tools.
Understanding of safety protocols and the use of PPE.
Basic knowledge of kitchen hygiene and food safety practices.
Strong sense of responsibility and trustworthiness.
Good communication skills and the ability to work well with a diverse team.
Courteous, patient, and tactful in interactions with staff and beneficiaries.
Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in facility maintenance, cleaning services, gardening, or similar roles.
Experience in animal care, particularly poultry management, is highly desirable.
Previous work with NGOs or in a humanitarian context is an advantage.
Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking Arabic
Basic understanding of English is an asset.
