You'll contribute to ending world hunger by ...
- Implement the structure, resources, and tools of the Sudan mission’s MEAL framework.
- Coordinate, implement, and report on all activities planned under MEAL.
- Support the design, data collection methodology and analysis of output and outcome-oriented performance and process indicators.
- Support the design methodology for assessments, monitoring and evaluation of Action Against Hunger interventions, providing sector guidance, recommendations, and lessons learnt.
- Results-based data collection, analysis and reporting in close coordination and collaboration with the programs team and technical departments
- Design, pilot, implement, and periodically evaluate all project monitoring tools
- Adapt to the context and roll out Action Against Hunger accountability framework and feedback mechanisms
- Mainstream cross cutting themes (gender, protection, conflict sensitivity, environmental sustainability) in MEAL processes and tasks
Key activities in your role will include
- Objective 1: Plan and implementation of the MEAL activities .
- Objective 2: Contribute to data management of the projects: Monitoring and data analysis .
- Objective 3: Document good practice from planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of activities
- Objective 4: Mainstream accountability, participation, and cross-cutting themes in your every-day work and reinforce the accountability and community engagement culture at office/base level.
- Objective 1: Plan and implementation of the MEAL activities .
- Provide monthly Action Plan for Head of base, MEAL officer, and report achievements,
- Participate in baseline and end line survey studies, as well as any other regular needs assessment to continually provide information and latest developments.
- Support the staff in data collection, Field visits to project activities locations is required with 30% minimum and 70% maximum Provide trainings to program teams on program activity monitoring and reporting;
- Contribute to the effective running of the feedback and complaint response mechanism
- Follow up proactively with program, technical and logistic teams to ensure the movement plan submitted and approved on weekly basis
- Entry and ensure effective data management for the project, Perform post-completion monitoring/evaluation in the locations where project activities are implemented as per MEAL plan / minimum standards Perform monitoring of activities in the locations where project activities are implemented as per MEAL plan / minimum standards and ad-hoc requests of Program Department Analyse information gathered, write a report, and develop visualization (with support of IM team) if relevant, and propose recommendations
- Objective 2:
- Contribute to data management of the projects: Monitoring and data analysis After data entered, analyze the data through different graph products, pivot tables…with the senior program team and MEAL officer.
- Making available and sharing data and analyze to the PMs and MEAL supervisor to ensure a support the inclusion of MEAL activities in program implementation, in collaboration Support bases to design and develop databases,
- Maintain comprehensive monitoring and evaluation database to track integrated activities conducted across all departments.
- Support accountable data collections for assessment, research activities, PDMs and CSIs as needed Ensure that data collected and database respect donor requirement Support on data entry and full fill the data needs for all the projects.
- Check the quality of data to be entered, report any problems encountered and rectify the problems Support the data entry/data analysts to review collected data by checking discrepancy. Lead the training to the data entries and analysts, .
- Objective 3: Document good practice from planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of activities
- Objective 4:
- Mainstream accountability, participation, and cross-cutting themes in every-day work and reinforce the accountability and community engagement culture at office/base level Pro-actively record complaints received from all stakeholders (beneficiaries, KIs, partners) using the complaint form or relevant tools, and submit to the MEAL officer to ensure registration into the data-base and appropriate follow-up with concerned parties.
- Provide support to colleagues from other departments to record complaints received in the field and use the consent form Contribute to the efforts of communication with communities, consultation, and engagement of beneficiaries / specific stakeholders as per the Feedback Mechanisms mapping plan Mainstream cross-cutting themes of protection, gender and conflict sensitivity into your daily activities and ensure to appropriately report your observations, suggestions, and recommendations Use the Data Protection Protocol to guide your data collection efforts and use the consent form whenever possible ,Use AAH charter of principles - neutrality, independence, transparency, non-discrimination, free and direct access to the victim, professionalism to guide your activities and performance and everyday behaviour Any other task as assigned by the supervisor or MEAL Manager/Coordinator.
Do you meet the profile required criteria?
- University degree (BA in Social Sciences or any related field) Previous field experience in assessments, data gathering, interviews, information triangulation/verification, and report writing. Strong communication skills to interact with both vulnerable population and key stakeholders At least one year of related previous professional experience Knowledge in any of the following field: Food Security and Livelihoods (FSL), WASH, Nutrition & Health, Advocacy No English, Arabic Word, Excel, Power Point Weekly field trips to project targeted areas

- Position length: 1 year (renewable based on Evalution)

- Salary: 809 USD (Gross)
- Annual Leave: 20 days/ year
