Food Security and Livelihoods (FSL) Program Manager
6 months with possibility for extension
GENERAL OBJECTIVES:
The AAH Food Security and Livelihood programming aims at improving the socio-economic status of vulnerable Gazans through: Rapid Emergency Responses including cash-based interventions answering to immediate basic needs through vouchers and unconditional cash; Support to the agricultural sector including rehabilitation of productive assets and inputs; Economic empowerment by enhancing access to income generation opportunities and facilitate gender balanced decision-making processes at a household level.
In the framework of food security and livelihoods programming to assist vulnerable households in the Gaza Strip, the FSL Program Manager will lead the Food Security and Livelihoods Department ensuring quality implementation, monitoring and evaluation of all activities, following up on and feeding into the FSL strategy 2022-2025 and mission strategy, including identification of appropriate new interventions, and capitalization process. Specific focus on employability strategies, social business approaches, and integration of climate change and protection approaches are among the priorities of the FSL portfolio development.

Objective 4: External representation
|
Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in international cooperation and development, economics, political sciences or agriculture.
Program Cycle Management: Expertise in the full cycle of program management, including:
Identification, implementation, MEAL, budgeting, logistic procedures, reporting, and donor compliance.
Expertise in Emergency Response
Expertise in Cash and Voucher Assistance (CVA) Interventions
Expertise in agricultural development and livestock management is considered a plus.
Expertise in Employability, business, and Value Chain Development is considered a plus.
Knowledge in Gender and Protection Mainstreaming
At least 4 years of field humanitarian experience having 2 years in a managerial position.
Experience with INGO preferred.
Experience working in complex humanitarian contexts and recovery.
Experience in integrated approach of livelihood programming and protection.
Experience in distribution for humanitarian operations.
Excellent oral and written English.
Knowledge of Arabic highly desirable.
Fully proficiency in MS-Office and Outlook needed.
Familiarity with analytical tools such as PowerBI and ODK an asset.
PM Based in Gaza full time.
Valuable prior experience in issues related to the promotion of gender equality or personal commitment to gender equality.

Salary: According to Action Against Hunger Salary scale.
Difficult context allowance: As per Action Against Hunger policy and this plus is reviewable throughout the contract based on the applicable risk analysis
