Ensure coordination between Logistics and the other departments in the Base to provide the adequate level of support to Action Against Hunger operations in its area of responsibility.


Key activities in your role will include

Objective 1: Ensure the proper functioning of the supply chain in accordance with Action Against Hunger standards

  • Ensure the implementation of authorized signatures on the base.
  • Ensure compliance with Action Against Hunger procedures (KitLog V3.8) at each stage of the supply chain;
  • Ensure the best ratio of cost, quality and time of the supply chain (purchase, transport, stock) in its entire area.
  • Advise, inform and alert on the processing of PRs to requesters.
  • Ensure and control deliveries to projects and departments.
  • Have a thorough knowledge of the market in their area.
  • Supervise stock management.
  • Maintain accurate records of logistics activities, procurement, inventory, shipments, and asset management.

Objective 2: Ensure the smooth running of the base's general facilities

  • Ensure the safety of the working and living environment.
  • Manage the construction, rehabilitation and maintenance of buildings required for the operation of the base and the living environment.
  • Ensure the supply of water and energy to all structures necessary for the operation of the base and the living environment.
  • Ensure the planning of the movement of vehicles on the base (owned or rented);
  • Ensure communication with the base's staff on planned maintenance and related malfunctions.

Objective 3: Monitor and manage equipment

  • Supervise the allocation and use of equipment.
  • Ensure the installation, maintenance and repair of equipment.
  • Update the list of equipment in the base.
  • Oversee and manage the management of the vehicle fleet (maintenance, cost monitoring, administrative management)
  • Manage the monitoring and maintenance of the generator (if any).

Objective 4: Manage the base's IT resources

  • Resolve users' current problems in coordination with Logistics/IT Officer.
  • Provide software support to users for information and e-mail sharing.
  • Check that network equipment is working properly (router, Internet modem, access point)
  • Ensure that computer standards are respected on workstations.
  • Supervise the data backup system (usage of one drive)

Objective 5: Manage the logistics team at the base (when applicable)

  • Organise the work of the base logistics department.
  • Delegate activities and monitor their proper execution.
  • Manage the recruitment of the logistics department staff.
  • Contribute to the development of the training plan.
  • Provide training for his/her team.
  • Conduct evaluation interviews.
  • Provide technical support to the team if necessary.

Objective 6: Reporting

  • Produce a complete monthly logistics report:
    • Contract Follow up (CFU) 
    • Procurement Follow up (PFU)
    • Equipment list and Small Inventory report
    • Fleet management report (if applicable)
    • Environment Report
    • Stock Report

Do you meet the profile required criteria?
  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or any related field
  • Knowledge of procedures on procurement, warehousing, supply chain
  • At least 2 years professional experience in similar jobs and responsibilities involving middle management positions and preferably experience working with an international non-government organization
  • Experience working in an emergency response.
  • Excellent English and Filipino language. Proficient in the local dialect is an advantage.
  • Strong command in MS Office
    • Intermediate level computer skills (Windows environment and Office package).

    • Advanced level of Excel.
  • Valuable prior experience in issues related to the promotion of gender equality or personal commitment to gender equality.
