The overall purpose of this position is to support the implementation of MEAL activities and related data management processes in Gaza. The role assists in ensuring quality data collection, reporting, and monitoring processes under the guidance of the MEAL team. It contributes to evidence-based programming by supporting data collection, assisting with routine data review, and helping facilitate learning and accountability practices.


Key activities in your role will include
  • Objective 1: Assistant implementation of MEAL activities (Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning)

    Tasks

    1. Implement day-to-day MEAL activities according to agreed work plans.
    2. Assist project teams in using MEAL tools, procedures, and tracking systems.
    3. Assist in routine monitoring, data collection, and documentation.
    4. Assist to implementing accountability activities, including community feedback and complaints mechanisms.


  • Objective 2: Assist in data management and data processes related tasks for Gaza Base

    Tasks

    1. Assist MEAL officer in designing and deploying digital data collection tools (e.g., Kobo).
    2. Assist downloading, cleaning, and organizing datasets for analysis and reporting.
    3. Assist in the timely sharing and filing of information with relevant teams according to MEAL guidance.
    4. Help maintain databases and simple data management tools for program follow-up and record keeping.


  • Objective 3: Support Field Monitoring, Evaluation, Data Collection, and Reporting 

    Tasks

    1. Conduct field visits for monitoring, assessments, and surveys.
    2. Assist in data collection using monitoring tools, including baselines, endlines, and other related instruments.
    3. Support logistical and technical arrangements for field visits.
    4. Implement regular monitoring updates and progress tracking.
    5. Assist in preparing qualitative reports, such as FGDs, KIIs, and Most Significant Change stories.
    6. Participate in project review meetings to share MEAL data and findings as requested

Do you meet the profile required criteria?
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in related fields to MEAL: Data Science, Communications, Engineering etc. 
  • Knowledge in data collection analysis, monitoring and evaluation, practices and methodologies.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning. 
  • Strong knowledge of quantitative and qualitative data collection methods.
  • Minimum of 1 years’ experience in data analysis, monitoring, evaluation, learning and accountability.
  • Experience of working with international or national NGOs.
  • Knowledge in the humanitarian sector, its principles and main factors.
  • Knowledge of ACF MEAL an advantage.  
  • Fluent in Arabic
    Working knowledge of English.
  • Good command of MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint
    • ODK and/or KOBO 
    • Basics Power BI, and analytical software (quantitative/qualitative) 
    • Basic of database management support, excel, mapping, GIS is plus.
  • National position only.
  • Valuable prior experience in issues related to the promotion of gender equality or personal commitment to gender equality.
