Under the supervision of the Nutrition Head of Project (HoP) in Tyre, the Midwife will be responsible for the monitoring and following up on the high risk pregnant women based on ACF’s health interventions strategy in the supported hospitals and in the catchment areas of the health facilities and PHCCs. The midwife will be also responsible for the communication and coordination with the hospitals managers to facilitate the progress of activities and to make sure the high-risk pregnant women are served with the required services.  Furthermore, the midwife will follow up on cases supported for deliveries with the nutrition team to ensure that the nutrition services are also provided.


Key activities in your role will include
  • Ensure timely and quality implementation of health project (50%)
  • Quality monitoring of the activities, needs analysis and adapting approaches, accountability (20%)
  • Collaboration and capacity building (10%)
  • Reporting and archiving (10%)
  • Coordination and referral monitoring (10%)

Do you meet the profile required criteria?
  • Bachelor’s degree in midwifery, certified by the Ministry of public Health . Master’s in Public Health or equivalent is a plus.
  • Primary and Secondary health care, reproductive health, care practices, IYCF(-E),
  • 2 years’ clinical experience in maternal and child health department 1 years’ experience in humanitarian and development organizations Experience in hospitals is desirable
  • Good knowledge of INGOs and donor agencies procedure, guidelines and intervention in the country
  • IT and specific systems: Good skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and good skills in smart phones Experience with PHENICS and/or MERA an asset
